It was moved and seconded that we keep the same officers for 2005-06.

WSGT Auction and Tournament (July 24-25) - Need Auction Items
for the BCFO Auction. There are some people not to contact because
BCFO already contacts them direct. We will need more volunteers
this year. The lunches will have to be delivered to the golfers.
The auction and draw party will be at Twin Oaks Country Club at
7 p.m. on Sunday, July 24. We can't get in until 3 p.m. to get
ready for the auction. The Tournament will be held on July 25.
Need items for player packets (160 packets). Auction items need
to be in by July 1. They are doing something different this year.
Pink Pin flags can be bought to remember someone that died of
cancer or has survived cancer. Fourteen have already been bought
out of 22. T. J. Sales will print the BCFO and we will have them
signed by the players this year for next year's auction. The flags
are $25 per flag.
If
you know people that would like to play in the tournament, have
them sign up now.
· Hall of Fame: Discussed the disappointment of not having
any women inducted into the Springfield Hall of Fame as well as
the Missouri Hall of Fame. The Missouri Hall of Fame nomination
sheet should include description of person and area recommended
for, three letters of recommendation, photo, and current address.
The Missouri Hall of Fame nomination sheets need to be sent by
August 1, 2005. The Springfield Hall of Fame will be after that
(not sure of the date). There are 28 on the Board of Directors.
The person nominated has to receive 75% of the Board's vote to
be inducted. Most of the Board members are men. There are just
4-5 women that are on the Board. Reba contacted Kansas City WIN
and discussed the situation. Kansas City WIN will submit some
names from the Kansas City area. Reba will need help in getting
references and information together to send the nominations in.
There are several outstanding women on this list. We need help
to serve on the committee: Cindy Deskin, Mary Jo Wynn, Linda Dollar
volunteered to be on the committee.
·
High School Women Coaches Academy (May 20-22 @ Drury) - Holly
Hesse said 16 had registered for this event. This academy is to
help women high school coaches in all aspects of coaching. The
NCAA has taken over the college program and the National Federation
of High School Activities Association may eventually take over
the high school program. The cost was a factor because the budgets
were already used up. Need to get the notice out sooner so they
can budget for it.
·
Tip Off Club - Jenni Hopkins reported on the Tip Off Club for
Women coaches that meets every other week during basketball season
at Ryans Steak House on Kearney (12:30 p.m. every other Tuesday).
Possible ways to get more people involved were discussed. The
following were suggested: Media, sent things out to coaches, booster
club to get community involved.
·
CODP - Volleyball has been added and the first volleyball clinic
for girls ages 10-14 have been held. Ice Hockey will be the next
CODP sport.

4-24. Lyndsay Davenport will be playing for the Lasers this year
on July 19. Tickets will be ½ price for WIN members. We
will have a table this year at the seven Lasers Home Matches.

WIN. Call Reba if you want to work the table at the matches.

other trails you would like to ride.

Charge $20 to play and split the pot with a charity. We will have
to have a 30-minute learning session before the actual game. Jerry
Carroll might host this event.
